Assessment Results
You are a...
Leader At Heart
You are a leader at heart, and exhibit some attributes of a manager.
You are a person who is continually searching for new ideas, you are disciplined and extremely driven in accomplishing your objectives. You have integrity, focus and a sense of mission.
In addition to your strong leadership tendencies, you exhibit some attributes of a good manager as you understand the value in leveraging team members’ efforts in accomplishing your mission. If you are currently in a leadership position (leading the company or working as a subject matter expert), it is important that you keep your manager tendencies in check. This means you should continue to add value by doing what you are best at and allow exceptional managers to do the managing (delegating work, coaching and developing employees). You are driven to accomplish your own objectives and are most valuable as a visionary and forward-thinker.
If you are currently in a management position, or a dual role, you may be experiencing difficulty delegating, understanding and tapping into your team’s strengths, effectively communicating, or being open and vulnerable. You may feel like you are suppressing what you love to do most; to put your head down and try to manage the details – you can do it, but you don’t enjoy it as much. Consider if it is the right fit for you, as you will likely need to suppress your strongest attributes to be successful as a manager.
If you are considering entering the business world, focus on your area of expertise rather than moving into a management role. Continue to hone your craft and resist pressures to manage people as your value to the company may be diminished.

*Please note that a short assessment such as this is simply a “snapshot” providing you with a ballpark-finding based upon patterns in your responses. There are no assessments based upon 10–12 questions that can earn a substantially high reliability score, and results will be further skewed if the candidate does not have a high level of self-awareness.
